This course provides an introduction to Parts 0 and 1 of the Water Supply Code of Australia (Regional NSW Version) WSA 03-2011-3.1. It contains 10 Modules, each Module covers key aspects of each chapter within Parts 0 and 1 of the Code. It is intended to give participants an understanding of the standards outlined within the code for design of water supply systems, as well as an understanding of why these standards have been chosen. Regional NSW Councils vary in how they have adopted the Code into their own standards and procedures, these are discussed in Module O. Where Councils differ in their approach to the Code, this training provides case studies of different Councils to demonstrate the rationale behind these differences. This course is intended for use by anyone who uses the Code, whether they work for Council, water utilities, consultants or contractors. A basic understanding of engineering practice is assumed.
